World Dance Award

The World Dance award recipient is selected from the dancers participating in the annual Student Dance Concert. Concert participants vote for the student they feel has contributed to the world dances in the concert and who has the dedication to continue in this area of study.

The OCC Dance Department is unique among community and four year colleges in its offering of a wide variety of world dance classes. Flamenco, Mid-Eastern, East Indian, African and Spanish Classical dance attract a large number of students each semester.
