Virgil Sessions Memorial

This scholarship honors Dr. Virgil Sessions, Dean of the Literature and Language Division for 20 years prior to his retirement. Dr. Sessions was proficient in and taught several areas including English, Speech, Journalism, and English as a Second Language.

Because of the scope of his proficiency, all departments in the Literature and Language Division will share in the scholarship on a rotating schedule and it will be awarded to a worthy recipient on the basis of their excellence in that field.
