The Rod Hansen Award for Excellence in Rhetoric

Rod Hansen taught Public Speaking at Orange Coast College for over thirty years. He demanded high standards of all with whom he came in contact. He was respected as a coach, a teacher, and a colleague. He fought a grand fight against illness to remain with his students longer than most thought possible. Rod’s memorial rewards superior scholarship, outstanding intellectual capacity, and the courage to overcome obstacles.
