The FreeStyle Ike Royer Memorial Scholarship for Traditional Black & White Photography
The Ike Royer Memorial Scholarship For Traditional Black & White Photography is a scholarship award sponsored by Freestyle Photographic Supplies of Hollywood, California, to students who incorporate traditional black and white photography into their photographic studies. The scholarship is named after the late Isaac (Ike) Royer, who, for many years, was a leading advocate of the importance of black and white traditional photography in a photographic education, as well as the Chairperson of Freestyle’s Advisory Board of Photographic Professionals. Freestyle’s commitment to the black and white darkroom and the materials used in traditional photography, in addition to The Ike Royer Memorial Scholarship, is instrumental for helping future photography students raise their skills and knowledge of the medium to higher levels of excellence and personal satisfaction.
