Sandy O'Connor Scholarship

My mother Sandy O’Connor loved to cook, bake, and participate in school fundraiser and other community events. She also loved catering for friend and family members including her church groups. This amazing woman worked hard her entire life. In her early 50’s her dream of owning her family cafe cecame a reality of Lopez Island Washing. Unfortunately, Sandy was taken from us at the age of 59 by a rare cancer. My mother loved her work, family and community. She was always willing to lend a hand and be a part of everything in some way. This scholarship is my way of honoring her and keeping her spirit alive.
