James Greenhalge Music Scholarship
James Greenhalge began serious music study in 1971. In 1977 he enrolled at OCC and studied organ and harpsichord with Dr. Justin Colyar. He received a scholarship award for harpsichord.
In 1980, he transferred to Cal State Fullerton to continue his studies. He maintained academic excellence and received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in music (history and theory) in 1985.
He was a guest organist many times at First United Methodist Church in Costa Mesa, where he was a member. His last position was organist at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Anaheim.
James died in September, 1990 at the age of 31. Music was so important to him and he would be happy to know that a deserving student of the keyboard is recognized.
