Deborah D. Wood Memorial Science Scholarship

This scholarship is in memory of my wife, Deborah D. Wood. Debbie resumed her college career at the age of 42 at Orange Coast College. She found she had an interest in math and science, eventually earning a degree in geology at Cal State Fullerton after two years at OCC.

Debbie enjoyed the flexibility and challenge of returning to college at OCC. I was so proud of her and how hard she worked to do her best. OCC was a great incubator for her and this scholarship honors her memory by offering it in science for other women who might accomplish as much as Debbie did. She is missed and this helps to preserve her memory.
